Math qeustion?

Identify the sampling technique used to obtain a sample.

In order to determine the expected number of broken eggs per carton, an egg packaging worker selects a group of 40 cartons that come off a particular conveyor belt and counts the number of broken eggs within these cartons.

a) Cluster sampling

b) Stratified sampling

c) Random sampling

d) Convenience sampling

Math qeustion?
c random sampling
Reply:a .

i think.

but im not sure

=]
Reply:c) Random sampling, because he's taking a random batch of egg carton's to figure out the expected # of cracked eggs in each carton made.
Reply:C) Random sampling

Random sampling is the purest form of probability sampling. Each member of the population has an equal and known chance of being selected. When there are very large populations, it is often difficult or impossible to identify every member of the population, so the pool of available subjects becomes biased.

I'll give you a star because I think this is a very interesting question! :)

Reply:C) Random sampling.

AND... two points! YIPPIEE!!
Reply:A because it is taking the "cluster" of a certain belt
Reply:Woo hoo, two points.
Reply:all of the above it counts as all of them if you think about it.
Reply:c) the checkout guy spotted it, I didn't

I just bought a broken egg, by accident

the egg was 15cents maybe, my time to go back and get another one is more valuable than that
