I need five ways determining the probability of: (the following:)?

a) Rolling a 5 on a six-sided die

b)Rolling an even number on a six-sided die

c) Picking a day of the week at random and having it be Wednesday

d) Picking a day of the week at random and having it to be weekday

e) Choosing an 8 from a dek of 52 cards

f) Choosing a Heart from a deck of 52 cards

g) Choosing a face card from a deck of 52 cards

Thanks so much!!

I need five ways determining the probability of: (the following:)?
a) Rolling a 5 on a six-sided die

the chance of getting a five is 1 and the total number of events is 6, thus

P(5) = 1/6

b)Rolling an even number on a six-sided die

even no = 3

P(even) = 3/6 = 1/2

c) Picking a day of the week at random and having it be Wednesday

P(Wed) = 1/7

d) Picking a day of the week at random and having it to be weekday

P(weekday) = 5/7

e) Choosing an 8 from a dek of 52 cards

there are four 8's in a deck

P(8) = 4/52 = 1/13

f) Choosing a Heart from a deck of 52 cards

there are 13 hearts in a deck

P(heart) = 13/52 = 1/4

g) Choosing a face card from a deck of 52 cards

There are 12 face cards (4 jacks, 4 queens and 4 kings)

P(face) = 12/52 = 3/13
Reply:b) rolling an even number on a six sided die.

we 2,4,6 or a 3 our of 6 chance. so, a 3 out of 6 chance or 3:6=3/6 or 1/2.

a) rolling a 5 on a six sided die. one 5 out of 6 numbers. so, 1/6.

e) remember that there are 4 8's in a deck of cards. also, there are 52 cards in a deck. so, 4 eights out of one pull/1 pull out of 52 or 4/52=1/13.

f) there are 13 hearts in a deck of cards. there are 52 cards in a deck. so, 1 pull of 13 hearts/1 pull of 52 cards. so, 13/52=1/4.

g) if i remember correctly, a face card is anything equal to or greater than 10. so we have 4 10's, 4 jacks, 4 queens, 4 kings, 4 aces or 16 face cards.

so, again 1 pull of 16 cards/i of 52 or 16/52=4/13.

hope this helps!!
