Probability, combination, permutation questions?

a. A single card is drawn at random from a standard deck of 52 cards. What is the probability that a 6 or a jack is drawn (as a fraction)?

b. An exam consists of 4 multiple choice questions and each question has 4 choices. Assuming all q's are answered, in how many ways can the test be completed?

c. A die with 6 sides is rolled and a coin is flipped. The number on the die and "heads" or "tails" is recorded. How many different outcomes are possible?

Probability, combination, permutation questions?
a 2/13 (8/52 simplified)

b 256 (4 to the 4th power) You can see why it would be very long odds *(more than a billion to one to get the right answer to 15 questions in a row on "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?" if you took a random guess every time)

c 12 (6 x 2)
Reply:a 8/52 simplified is 2/13

b 4^4 or 4x4x4x4= 256

c 6 x2 = 12
