They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

I don't know anyone who denies there are jihadists out there, plotting against the US and Europe. Neither should there be anyone who denies that there are white supremacists and homophobes and backwoods "armies of God" plotting against innocent US citizens and the good ole American way of life. How desperately we all need to work together to figure out how to face this new age of violence!





But stereotyping and name-calling and unilateralism won't do it. Neither will getting oneself elected by providing the "Christian" right-wing some groups of people to spew their hatred upon, like homosexuals, Mexican immigrants, "welfare mothers," "f**king liberals," and, yes, "Muslim males between the ages of 17 and 40."





Let's learn that not all Muslims are jihadists and not all jihadists are Muslims.





Let's look at how the common people of Saudi Arabia are treated by the wealthy elite Sauds and how the Muslim fundamentalists are involved. Let's look, and take warning.





Not all terrorists come from the Middle East, and not all Middle Easterners are terrorists. But, frankly, more of the young, the poor, the idealistic are being persuaded to become terrorists because of the American invasion and occupation of Iraq, because of what they see happening to innocent civilians. Their "rush limbaughs" are telling them it's all because of those Christian fundamentalists in America. And like most political lies, there is just enough of a factoid there to make it hard to refute.
